DONT LOOK BACK Guides Hub

Day scrap runs, night threats, and map-by-map survival for Manul Studio’s pre-alpha escape game.

Guides Hub

Welcome to the Guides Hub for DONT LOOK BACK, the Roblox pre-alpha survival and escape experience from Manul Studio. The live place is listed as [UPDATE] DON’T LOOK BACK [PRE-ALPHA] and supports up to 22 players with R15 avatars. Sessions split into a clear day–night rhythm: daylight is for looting scraps, finishing objectives, selling for cash, and buying gear; nightfall brings randomized threats you must avoid or fight until dawn.

This hub is the map of every practical walkthrough on the wiki. Use it when you need a first-hour checklist, a night-survival plan, or a quick jump into a specific map. Content reflects the game as of August 2026 (created 2026-07-12 and still updating). There are no published promo codes, no official Discord or Trello we can verify, no confirmed YouTube guide IDs for this place, and no scripts catalogued here — we will not invent any of those.

Start here if you are new

New survivors should begin with Getting Started. That page covers the day economy, what to buy first, and how to prepare for your first night without wasting cash on the wrong Game Pass impulse. Pair it with Controls — bindings appear in the bottom-right of the in-game UI — so you are not hunting menus while something is chasing you.

Once the basics click, move into the core loops:

  • Find Scraps — where daytime loot lives and how scraps convert into cash.
  • Objectives — completing tasks, selling, and knowing when Reset Objectives (developer product) is worth it.
  • Survive the Night — randomized threats, fight-or-flight choices, and dawn as the win condition.

Maps and session style

DONT LOOK BACK currently features three named maps. Each has its own lighting, pathing, and panic profile:

  • The Backrooms — looping interiors, disorientation, and tight sightlines.
  • Pine Woods — forest cover, long approaches, and audio-driven threat reads.
  • Redwood Road — roadside pressure, open sightlines, and different loot pacing.

Whether you queue solo or with friends, read Solo vs Co-op before blaming the map. Max lobby size is 22, so communication and role split matter more than raw aim when nights get noisy.

Gear, passes, and honest caveats

Permanent weapons and quality-of-life Game Passes (Barrett M82, M16A4, Peacemaker, hotbar slots, 1.5x cash, scrap insurance, stamina, stronger flashlight) change how aggressively you can clear nights. Cash packs and Recover Lost Items / Reset Objectives exist as developer products. Guides discuss when those purchases help — not as a paywall requirement to enjoy pre-alpha.

Content warnings: loud sounds, flashing lights, and jumpscares. Volume and accessibility settings matter as much as loadout.

For a verdict on state of play, visits (~890k) and favorites (~19k), see Review. For codes and scripts hubs elsewhere on the site: expect honest empty states until Manul Studio publishes real rewards or the community ships verified tools.

How to use this hub

  1. Skim Getting Started and Controls.
  2. Master daylight with Find Scraps and Objectives.
  3. Practice nights via Survive the Night.
  4. Specialize per map pages above.
  5. Tune party size with Solo vs Co-op.

Internal links always use trailing slashes and descriptive anchors — bookmark this hub and jump sideways between siblings whenever a tip references another loop. Pre-alpha means systems can shift; recheck after major updates, and treat any unverified code or loadstring claim as unsafe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for DONT LOOK BACK players.

Where should a brand-new DONT LOOK BACK player start?

Open Getting Started, then Controls. Learn the day scrap-and-sell loop before you optimize night combat.

Are there working codes or scripts listed in these guides?

No. As of August 2026 we found no published codes, Discord/Trello, verified YouTube IDs, or scripts for this place — and we will not invent them.

Which map guide should I read first?

Pick the map you spawned on most often, or start with The Backrooms if interiors feel hardest, then Pine Woods and Redwood Road.

Is this wiki for solo players only?

No. Guides cover solo and co-op up to the 22-player cap. See Solo vs Co-op for role ideas and night callouts.
