Game Pass Priority Tiers

This page ranks all eight DONT LOOK BACK game passes by priority for most survivors, not by flex factor. Rankings are provisional while Manul Studio iterates on pre-alpha systems. For prose detail and developer products, use the game passes value guide. For a budget flow, open the gamepass picker.

S-tier utilities: see and move

Nights punish darkness and slow feet. Stronger Flashlight and Stamina Boost together cost less than Peacemaker alone and help both stealth and fighter players. If you only buy one thing this week, flashlight is the safest default — then stamina.

These passes also age well if gun balance swings. Vision and movement rarely become useless overnight.

A-tier: inventory, economy, entry gun

+2 Hotbar reduces frantic swapping when objectives, light, and weapons compete for slots. Scrap Insurance keeps bad nights from feeling like a full reset — especially useful before habits from Getting Started solidify.

Peacemaker and Bonus Cash 1.5x share a 249 price point but solve different problems. Buy Peacemaker if nights force fights you cannot avoid. Buy Bonus Cash if you play long farming days and want faster shop loops. Do not buy both blindly on day one.

B-tier: rifles after fundamentals

M16A4 rises once you consistently loot, sell, and reach night with a plan from Survive the Night and night prep. Barrett M82 sits lower on priority despite high power because 599 Robux competes with an entire utility stack. Fighters who main open maps may still prefer it — just know it is a specialty buy.

Developer products vs passes

Passes are permanent priorities. Cash packs (about 250–3000), Recover Lost Items (59), and Reset Objectives (39) are situational spends. Recover can be correct after a painful wipe; it should not replace Scrap Insurance thinking or better routing.

Playstyle overlays

  • Stealth first: Flashlight → Stamina → Hotbar → Insurance → maybe Peacemaker
  • Fighter first: Flashlight/Stamina → Peacemaker or M16A4 → Hotbar → M82 last
  • Grinder first: Bonus Cash → Insurance → Flashlight → weapons as needed

Honesty checks

  • No pass is unlocked by codes right now — none are published.
  • No script should be required to “activate” a pass you already bought.
  • Shop order can change; verify on the official game page via Links.

Spend in the order that buys you another dawn, not another screenshot.

Budget scenarios (worked examples)

80 Robux left: Stronger Flashlight only. Vision compounds every map and every random night. Come back for Stamina next payday.

200 Robux left: Flashlight + Stamina, or Stamina + start saving toward Hotbar/Insurance. Do not stretch into Peacemaker if you still die in pitch black.

450 Robux left: Path A utilities, then either Peacemaker for fights or Bonus Cash for grinders. M16A4 is tempting at 399 but only after you can finish days calmly using Getting Started habits.

700+ Robux left: Utilities first still. Then M16A4 or M82 for fighter mains who already clear Survive the Night most rounds. Owning every pass is optional flex, not a requirement for dawn.

Pass interactions worth knowing

Bonus Cash multiplies the day economy that funds ammo and replacements after contested nights. Scrap Insurance reduces tilt when a brutal modifier deletes your loop. Hotbar makes both stealth tool swaps and fighter reloads less clumsy. Flashlight and Stamina are the glue — without them, guns underperform.

If a patch retunes scrap loss or stamina drain, revisit this page and the Updates Hub. Pre-alpha priority lists are living documents, not trophies.

Final buying question

Ask: what killed me the last three nights? Buy the pass that answers that question. If the answer is no plan, open night prep before the shop.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for DONT LOOK BACK players.

What is the best first game pass?

Stronger Flashlight (49) or Stamina Boost (79) are the top provisional priorities for most players.

When should I buy Barrett M82?

After utilities and when you already survive nights as a fighter. It is high ceiling, not the best first spend.

Is Bonus Cash better than Peacemaker?

Depends on goals. Bonus Cash helps long farming sessions; Peacemaker helps when you must fight. Same price band, different jobs.

Do these tiers include developer products?

Priority tiers focus on the eight passes. Recover Lost Items and Reset Objectives are situational products covered in the value guide.
